Carl Sandburg College, the regional community college based in Galesburg, offers a broad array of college transfer and vocational-technical programs. The Center for Manufacturing Excellence (CME) and the Education Technology Center (ETC) are both located in Galesburg. Galesburg Community Unit School District 205, provides Galesburg youth with the superior small-town education so valuable today. Small class sizes allow your child to receive individual attention from quality teachers. The pupil:teacher ratio at the elementary schools is 15:1 and 16:1 at secondary schools. Galesburg Public Schools Foundation, is a chartered, not-for-profit foundation with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. The purpose of the Foundation is to raise funds to enhance the educational, interscholastic and extracurricular opportunities for students in District 205, and to strengthen the relationship between the public schools and the community.

Costa Catholic School, with a history dating back to 1879, is an intellectual and cultural landmark in the Galesburg area. The 2005-2006 school year will celebrate the 126th year of Fr. Costa's foundation in Galesburg. Costa is conveniently located near the I-74 corridors.
Costa Catholic School offer three distinct but complementary levels of education: Early Childhood (preschool), Primary School (kindergarten - grade 3), and Middle School (grades 5-8). Enrollment for the 2005-06 year is expected to reach 372 students. Costa's commitment to maintaining limited class size provides students with individualized instruction and attention. Costa is primarily known for the integration of Christian values with outstanding academic curriculum as well as Costa's athletic program which continues to grow, offering programs in soccer, basketball, volleyball, track, golf and other lifestyle sports.
