International Fair
Food, arts, crafts & entertainment from around the world, presented by Knox College students and visiting performers. Events are held in several locations on the Knox College campus.

FEBRUARY
Chocolate Festival
An all-you-can-eat buffet of everything chocolate. Homemade and commercial goodies to satisfy the chocoholic in you. Live music, contests and a surprise or two.

MARCH
Rootabaga Jamm Jazz Festival
Three-day jazz festival featuring nationally reowned musicians as well as the Knox College Jazz Ensemble.

MAY
Sandburg Days Festival
Three days of literary, musical, historical and sporting events as well as events for children all celebrating the life of Galesburg's own Carl Sandburg.

JUNE
Kites Over Lake Storey
A family-oriented event that features kite making for kids, a candy drop, a night flight, single-line and show kites with many of America's top flyers.

Galesburg Railroad Days
Celebration of Galesburg's rich railroad heritage with a model train show, railroadiana show, carnival, street fair, antique car show, crafts, concerts, flea market, sports emporium, historic house tour and much more. Fourth weekend in June.

JULY
Art-in-the-Park
A juried fine art and craft fair featuring painters, sculptors, potters, weavers, basket makers and jewelers (60+ artisians) as well as food, entertainment & a children's art project area. Third Saturday in July.

Sample fabulous food from numerous area restaurants, beer garden, live entertainment.

The Great Balloon Race
Enjoy the sight of 30 colorful hot air balloons flying over the friendly skies of Galesburg, weather permitting. Featuring night glows, competitions and the opportunity to view the balloons up close and talk to the pilots.

AUGUST
Knox County Fair
Enjoy a good old-fashioned county fair which includes entertainment, motor sports, livestock shows, carnival rides, free parking, food, crafts & grandstand events every night.

Heritage Days
Living history festival featuring Civil War era with battles. Pre-1840 rendezvous era with canoe races. Period demonstrators with articles for sale, Military Ball and night firing of cannons.

SEPTEMBER
National Stearman Fly-In Days
Largest gathering of vintage WWII Stearman biplanes in the world. Formation flights, areial demos and contests. Held the week following Labor Day.

The Great Cardboard Boat Regatta
Annual race of boats constructed of corrugated cardboard. Boats race on a 200-yard course at Lake Storey in different heats and categories.

OCTOBER
Knox County Scenic Drive
Self-guided fall foliage tour with ten official stops at selected locations throughout Knox County. Savor the county's unique heritage & enjoy family fun; displays, hand-crafted items, historic sites, museums, country cooking, demonstrations, flea markets and antiques. First two full weekends in October.

Scarecrow Festival
Enjoy live entertainment, great food and an arts and craft show. Vote for your favorite handcrafted scarecrows in five different categories lining the walkways in Standish Park Arboretum.

Holiday Open House & Parade
Experience the holiday cheer the first weekend in December. See Santa get rescued from a rooftop by the Galesburg Fire Department!
